Join Bizz Bigsby for an evening of engaging stories and great songs sharing his life’s journey. Happy, sad, good times, bad times. His songs tell his story.
A native of North Nashville, Bizz came to music naturally. He is the eldest son of Nashville R&B icon Jimmy Church, who invited a young Bizz to tour with him and his band. While running lights for his dads’ show, the lead singer got sick, and his dad asked Bizz to fill in for two nights. Those two shows turned into 5 years, opening for such artists as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Little Richard.
Bizz is an accomplished artist and songwriter, whose music is influenced by everyone from Bill Withers to George Jones to James Taylor. As a performer, he has played on the biggest stages in Nashville and throughout the US and Canada. His songs follow his path through love, addiction, fatherhood, cancer, and recovery and “The emotions are real. The stories are true. The songs are from my heart.”

MILEStones: Tribute to Miles Davis

MILEStones is a dynamic tribute band dedicated to celebrating the life and music of the legendary Miles Davis. Paying close attention to the two "great quintets", the band recreates the mood and genre-defying compositions that made Miles' music so distinct. Led by drummer Brian Czach, MILEStones is a quintet comprised of seasoned musicians who share a passion for jazz and it's lineage. MILEStones captures the essence of Davis's groundbreaking artistry, delivering performances that transport audiences back to the golden eras of jazz. Whether it's a faithful rendition or a fresh interpretation, MILEStones honors Miles Davis's enduring legacy with every note.

MF Art Of Listening Featuring - Musicians creating a musical conversation on the spot. Getting back to the original love of what draws musicians into music. Trusting the music and musicians to guide and discover what it means to improvise much in the same way we communicate verbally. Drummer extraordinaire Marcus Finnie assembles a unique group of very special artists for this show, comprised of elite session artists or musicians on tour in the Nashville vicinity. Marcus leads the band with Chester Thompson, Tyronn Hamilton and Walter 'Hinkie' Hamilton.

As a Memphis native and Nashville resident, Marcus Finnie has toured the world with Kirk Whalum, Keb’ Mo’, Taj Mahal, Brett Eldredge, Kurt Elling, Charlie Hunter, Lady Antebellum, Larry Carlton, Donna Summer, India Arie, Kurt Elling, Billy Preston, Earl Klugh, Beegie Adair, Dave Koz and many others. Marcus has also recorded with Grammy and Stellar Award nominated and winning artists’ Jacob Whitesides, Kent Lattimore, Ledisi, Andy Mineo, Kirk Whalum, Keb Mo & Taj Mahal, India Arie, Joss Stone, Butch Walker, Charlie Peacock, Michael McDonald, and several others.
Chester Thompson
Chester Thompson is a renowned drummer/percussionist, highly regarded for his ability to move seamlessly between multiple genres. Thompson’s known best for his work with Genesis and Phil Collins, with whom he shared the worldwide stage for over 30 years. Other notable legends Chester performed or recorded with include Frank Zappa, Weather Report, John Fogerty, Santana, Michael McDonald, Freddie Hubbard, Ahmad Jamal, Kirk Whalum, Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’. His latest solo release is Wake Up Call as well as the just released Cosmic Cathedral “Deep Water”.
Tyronn Hamilton
Tyronn Hamilton was born in Tullahoma TN. Spawning from a family of musicians and singers, his musical interests began early in life. His music can be described as an eclectic mix of Jazz, funk, gospel and R&B. Tyronn began his musical journey at age 5 playing drums in the church and along with the family gospel group. After a very short time, although still young, he realized that playing music was what he wanted to do with his life. During his 9th grade year in high school Tyronn began playing piano and within a year he was writing his own original compositions. Upon graduation he accepted a music scholarship to MTSU for a degree in music performance with percussion as his major. Tyronn has honed his skills over the years playing in various bands and working with artists from varied genres. From solo piano performance to recording, writing and producing contemporary jazz and RnB, Tyronn has been involved on multiple fronts fulfilling his musical passion. Tyronn has had the privilege to play with: Jesse J, Althea Renee, Lalah Hathaway, Montel Jordan, Bob Mintzer, Kimberly Locke, Corey Clark, After 7, Lee Roy Parnell, Maysa Leak, Kenny Lattimore and many others.
Walter 'Hinkie' Hamilton
Born on the 9th of 10 children, Walter 'Hinkie' Hamilton Jr. grew up immersed in the rich musical heritage of his family and his father's legacy. Walter Sr. was a working musician, touring with Blues, R&B, and Soul icons during the late 50s and 60s, setting the stage for Hinkie's deep-rooted connection to music. From a young age, Hinkie was exposed to a variety of musical genres, but it was the fusion of Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Soul, R&B, Funk, and Rock that would come to define his unique sound. Though Hinkie began his musical journey as a singer, he eventually found his voice behind the drum kit. However, it wasn't until he picked up the bass guitar that he truly discovered his calling. Hinkie's skill, dedication, and raw talent led him to become a sought-after bassist with a style that melds his diverse musical influences into a dynamic, groove-heavy force. The Hamilton Family, a gospel group founded by his family, played a crucial role in shaping his early musical years. From childhood through adulthood, Hinkie and his family traveled the country, sharing their powerful music and deep spiritual connection with audiences. During his middle school years, the Hamilton Family recorded their one and only album, "Just Couldn't Be Contented", marking a significant milestone in Hinkie's early exposure to the music industry. Over the years, Hinkie has recorded and performed alongside legends such as BB King, Phil Vassar, Clarence Dobbins, Reese Winans, Roscoe Shelton, and Angela Winbush, just to name a few. His collaborations span a wide spectrum of musical genres, from the legendary BB King All Stars to contemporary soul and pop artists like PJ Morton, Rubben Studdard, and Maysa. Hinkie's versatility as a bassist and his natural ability to blend in with a variety of musical styles has made him a favorite collaborator among musicians of all genres. He's performed with Tank, Shannon Sanders, Kenny Latimore, Mitty Collier, Latimore, Kevin Whalum, and Corey Clark. In addition to his work as a bassist, Hinkie's musical influence is evident in his contributions as a producer and his ability to inspire and mentor the next generation of musicians. His family legacy and the musical roots he carries forward continue to shape his work, and his dedication to pushing the boundaries of music ensures that Hinkie's voice remains a vibrant force in the industry. Whether it's laying down grooves with a legendary artist or collaborating with fresh, new talent, Walter 'Hinkie' Hamilton's musical journey is one that bridges generations, genres, and a deep love of the craft.

Guitarist Andy Reiss brings a fabulous quintet with some of Nashville's top jazz musicians including Roland Barber on trombone, Dan Hitchcock on reeds, Roger Spencer on bass and Chris Brown on drums.
Grammy awarded guitarist Andy Reiss is a member of the Time Jumpers and a prolific recording session musician in Nashville (Slim Pickens, the Jordanaires, Pete Wade, Charlie McCoy, Pig Robbins, Bob Moore, and Drake, Reba McEntire and Linda Davis). Andy has now been an active member of the Nashville community for more than 35 years. He left his hometown of San Francisco to pursue his passion for music as a career in 1980. He was brought up in a household listening to mainly traditional classical music (he even has an ancestor that was a German composer and guitarist in the 1700s!) He began his formal music education with the piano at age 7, moving to the guitar at 10. Being lucky enough to have grown up in in San Francisco during the 1960s, he would forever be influenced by the thriving music scene of the time. Some of the many concerts that were complete eye-opening experiences were B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, and of course, pyschedelic luminaries such as The Grateful Dead and The Jefferson Airplane. This is also when he discovered jazz, and his guitar work became heavily influenced by greats such as Charlie Christian, Joe Pass, and Kenny Burrell.
After arriving in Nashville, he was fortunate enough to have two influential A-Team advocates, the legendary producer and steel guitarist Pete Drake, and the visionary Harold Bradley, the guitarist who, along with his brother Owen, built the first recording studio on Nashville’s Music Row, and served as a long time President of the local Musician’s Union. Andy’s first recording session was for the actor Slim Pickens, a session that was an overwhelming initiation, involving many A-Team pickers such as Drake, Charlie McCoy, Bob Moore, Pete Wade, Pig Robbins and the Jordanaires.
He has since become a studio mainstay, playing on hundreds of records, with artists including Miranda Lambert, John Oates, Amy Grant, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Leon Russell. Returning to his early jazz influences, he also has recorded with many jazz greats, including Pete Christlieb, Beegee Adair, Benny Golson, and as a member of “Bad Rhythm“, an exciting trio with drummer Danny Coots and pianist Brian Holland. He has also toured extensively with both the legendary Slim Whitman and Reba McEntire, and is a member of the Time Jumpers, a Western Swing Super Group on Rounder Records. The Time Jumpers have enjoyed a 20 year Monday night residency at various night clubs in Nashville, and have been nominated for six Grammy awards, winning one in 2017, for Roots Song of the Year. The band has also toured internationally, playing venues as diverse as Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa and Carnegie Hall.

The Kentucky-born, New Orleans-schooled, New York-based Cowherd is best known for his long-running partnership with drummer/bandleader Brian Blade, with whom he co-founded the Brian Blade Fellowship, whose acclaimed, influential albums showcase Cowherd’s stellar keyboard work and singular compositional skills. When not recording and touring with the Fellowship, Cowherd has worked extensively with a broad array of players and singers from the jazz, pop and rock worlds.
Brian Blade Fellowship Band His impressive resume aside, Mercy is the most compelling example yet of Jon Cowherd’s remarkable sensitivity, inventiveness and versatility. Recorded in an inspired three-day session at New York’s Avatar Studios, the sterling set is comprised of ten new Cowherd originals, with his sublime keyboard work anchoring an all-star quartet that includes Bill Frisell on acoustic and electric guitars, John Patitucci on acoustic bass and longtime collaborator Brian Blade on drums. The resulting album is a creative landmark for Cowherd, with such ambitious numbers as “The Columns,” “Postlude,” the three-part “Mercy Suite” and the playful departure “Recital Hour (Timmy’s Theme)” demonstrating his gifts as an instrumentalist and composer.
“It definitely feels like a personal milestone,” Cowherd says of Mercy. “My collaboration with Brian Blade has given me the freedom to record my own pieces, but I still felt the need to make a statement under my own name. That notion was intimidating for a long time, and I never felt ready until the last couple of years. I felt that my playing had to get to another level before I released something as a leader. Studying classical piano with Jeff Goldstein from 2001-2009 really helped me gain that confidence.”
A consistent dedication to honing his talents and broadening his musical horizons has been a lifelong mission for Cowherd. Growing up in Kentucky as the son of musician parents who doubled as music educators, he embraced music early in life, taking up piano, french horn and violin as well as singing. In 1988, he migrated to the musical mecca of New Orleans to attend Loyola University. There, he studied jazz piano and improvisation under Crescent City piano legend Ellis Marsalis and with noted players John Mahoney, Steve Masakowski and Michael Pellera. He also joined local bands led by Tony Dagradi and Delfeayo Marsalis, and played with the New Orleans Ballet and the New Orleans Symphony and Opera. In 1993, Cowherd moved to New York, where he earned a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from the Manhattan School of Music.
It was in New Orleans’ hotbed of musical inspiration that Cowherd met fellow Loyola student Brian Blade, with whom he would form the Brian Blade Fellowship. With Blade on drums and Cowherd on piano, and both sharing compositional duties, the Brian Blade Fellowship has proven to be an enduring and rewarding creative unit, releasing the albums Brian Blade Fellowship (Blue Note, 1998), Perceptual (Blue Note, 2000) and Season of Changes (Verve, 2008).

In 1988, he migrated to the musical mecca of New Orleans to attend Loyola University. There, he studied jazz piano and improvisation under Crescent City piano legend Ellis Marsalis and with noted players John Mahoney, Steve Masakowski and Michael Pellera. He also joined local bands led by Tony Dagradi and Delfeayo Marsalis, and played with the New Orleans Ballet and the New Orleans Symphony and Opera. In 1993, Cowherd moved to New York, where he earned a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from the Manhattan School of Music.
It was in New Orleans’ hotbed of musical inspiration that Cowherd met fellow Loyola student Brian Blade, with whom he would form the Brian Blade Fellowship. With Blade on drums and Cowherd on piano, and both sharing compositional duties, the Brian Blade Fellowship has proven to be an enduring and rewarding creative unit, releasing the albums Brian Blade Fellowship (Blue Note, 1998), Perceptual (Blue Note, 2000) and Season of Changes (Verve, 2008).

Daniel Kuk is a young, up-and-coming pianist who has lived in Nashville for most of his life. Starting at a young age, music has always been a part of his life, and having a musical family led him to his love for playing a few different instruments. Daniel played extensively in school and learn from some of the great local pianists, such as Rick Jackson, Pat Coil, Lori Mecham, Jon Cowherd, etc. He has also played with musicians such as Jeff Hamilton, Dave Potter, Don Aliquo, Joel Frahm, Tamir Helndelman, etc.

He has toured nationally and internationally with Larry Carlton, as well as throughout the United States with artists such as Vince Gill and Amy Grant. His album credits include artists such as Michael McDonald, Tony Bennett, Lee Ann Rhymes, and Keith Urban. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute. There he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music and also won the outstanding student of the year. Brian Allen was most recently on tour with Jonathan Davis of Korn in 2018. He is one of Nashville’s top recording bassists. He was nominated Bass Player of the year by the Academy of Country Music in 2018. Brian is also teaching a clinic series that will be touring in 2019 called Rhythm Section Master Class. Brian has performed a diverse range of live shows as well as recording sessions. His playing spans the musical spectrum from jazz to rock and everything in between.
Wes Little is one of Nashville’s most adaptable and multi-faceted drummers, as well as a top flight arranger, producer and songwriter. Formally trained in performance and composition at the Manhattan School of Music and shaped by years of studio and stage work with major acts from across the spectrum, Little brings complete musicality to every kind of gig. Currently a first call session drummer in Nashville, Little has also performed or recorded with Chuck D, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, John Legend, Melissa Etheridge, Robben Ford, Michael and Randy Brecker, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. He works in Nashville, where he lives and records daily in the studio.

At only nine years old Regi started teaching his younger brother Victor Wooten bass guitar and Joseph Wooten keyboards, and soon the Wooten Brothers Band was formed featuring; Regi on ukelele, Roy on drums, Rudy on Saxophone, Joe on Keys and Victor on bass. Regi was ten years old at the time, Roy was nine, Rudy was eight, Joseph was five and Victor was two. The rest, as they say, is Musical History.
